je veux savoir l equivalence 6l.m ou scfh avec le gaz argon

by Mr Nice Guy on 2010-03-09

If your 6 liters per min is at standard conditions, then it is simply:

6 liters/min x 2.118888 (ft³/h /liters/min)= answer in scfh

I need some help. I need to answer the following: I need to know how to convert 5 feet per second into gallons minute or milliliters per minute. I realize those are two different fields but thats why I'm having problems. The answer I come up with seems impossible.(6.885 gpm) .75 inch schedule 80 pipe & 5 ft/sec velocity Any help would be appericated, Bob

by Mr Nice Guy! on 2010-03-09

I suppose your 5ft per sec is the speed of the flow in a 0,75" pipe (schedule 80).

So:

A 3/4" pipe as an O.D of 1.050 inches, with a wall thickness of 0.154. So the internal diameter is: 0.742"=0.061833 ft.

pi x diameter² / 4 = surface of pipe (ft²)

surface of pipe (ft²) x velocity (ft/s) = flow (ft³/s)

flow (ft³/s) * 448.83 (US-gallon/min / ft³/s) = Your answer in US-gallon per minute
